Measure your emotions
What pictures do you respond
to?
Some pictures
arouse emotions in you - for example anger,
disgust, surprise, shock, happiness or lust.
Using equipment which measures galvanic skin
response, these unconscious emotional reactions
can be detected.
Over 100 willing visitors took
part in a real-life experiment to see what pictures
they responded to.
The volunteers were asked to place
their fore and middle fingers into two metal
thimbles. By passing a tiny electrical current
across their fingers, the thimbles were able
to pick up minute changes in the amount of sweat.
A picture which caused an emotional response
caused more sweating.
